Meet the Doctors

 
 

Dr. Fuys graduated from National College of Chiropractic in 1990 and has been practicing in Downers Grove since 1991. He has completed continuing education in Electrodiagnostics, Chiropractic Sports and Orthopaedics. He lives in Lisle with his wife and three daughters. Dr. Fuys is an active member of Peace Church in Lombard where he teaches Sr. High Sunday School, is an usher, and has participated in two mission trips to Honduras. In his spare time he enjoys boating, fishing, running and woodworking.

Dr. Kirk received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Waterloo in Canada. He then attended the National University of Health Sciences, graduating in 2003 with both a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and a Doctorate of Chiropractic. He has completed training in Applied Kinesiology and is certified to practice Acupuncture. Ergonomics has always been an emphasis for Dr. Kirk. He has trained nurses on modified lifting techniques to help prevent back injuries, as well as rearranging workstations to prevent carpal tunnel syndrome, headaches, and other conditions.

Julie Dupree

Cindy Pittsford

Cindy is a native of Downers Grove, graduating from Downers Grove South in 1986.  She then moved to England for 15 years, where she worked with two charities: the Wirral Holistic Health Center and The Merseyside Asbestos Victims Support Group. Soon after, she developed an interest helping others through massage and reflexology.

She has been a licensed Massage Therapist for 5 years, attending SOHMAR in Downers Grove, and graduating in 2004 with a certification in sports massage and reflexology.  Since then she has been working with the Glen Ellyn Runners Club, easing their aches and pains as they train.  Cindy joined the Concept Care team in 2006. 

Colleen Whitt

Colleen is a licensed Massage Therapist, and graduated from the National University of Health Sciences massage therapy certification program in 2005.  Colleen became interested in wellness while earning an associates degree at College of DuPage.  She chose the field of massage therapy to help people find natural relief from pain, muscle tension and stress.  Her intention is to provide soothing and effective treatment for each individual.


Colleen's other interests include aromatherapy, nutrition and cooking.  She enjoys time spent outdoors, hiking at the Morton Arboretum and walking her dog.  Colleen is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association.

Missy Trudgeon

Missy graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Physiology from Michigan State University in 2002.  Before moving from Michigan to Illinois she was the Production Manager for the American Coed Pageants and a substitute teacher.  She was given the amazing opportunity to volunteer for two weeks at a Children’s hospital and school in Guatemala City and absolutely loved it.  She is now pursuing her dream of helping others by attending Chiropractic school at National University of Health Sciences and will graduate in December of 2010.

Chad Sloden

Chad was born and raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin.  Upon graduating from high school he attended Winona State University in Minnesota on a football scholarship.  Currently he is attending National University of Health Sciences with a concentration on Chiropractic Medicine.  In his free time he enjoys golfing, snowboarding, and spending time with friends and family.  He is also able to bake 5 minute brownies in 3 minutes.
